Ghana, she said, should have made a lot of progress in terms of improving on the living standards of the people if the NDC hadn’t departed from
its ideals and the 1992 Constitution.
The West African nation, she added, has retrogressed but is very hopeful that a political party she now leads, the National Democratic Party (NDP), could bring the needed change Ghanaians are aspiring for when voted into power.
Konadu interacting with Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM, Thursday, said the high youth unemployment rate coupled with others was spurred by bad governance and mismanagement by the governing NDC led by President John Dramani Mahama.
“All those children you see hawking are either JHS or SHS leavers. Some are even university graduates. Why should they be selling on the streets? It is because we have not planned for them as a country”.
“So, youth unemployment is very high. Look at the hardened criminals the police have been arresting of late. When check their ages, I don’t think some are even 50 years. So, why should it happen this way for them to be robbing people of their valuables?”
“Are we having the best from the current government? No. Look at the filth all over the country. Look at the indiscipline, corruption among others. Things must change”, she noted.
She added “The constitution is there but they (NDC) are doing things completely away from it. You cannot be given any serious government when you are not using the laws of the land to govern”.
She told Banson that the NDP when given the nod to govern the country “can do far better than what the NDC is doing”.
Her party, she added, is currently working on their strategies in a well coordinated manner to ensure that they present better alternative policies that will help effect the need change Ghanaians are yearning for when voted into power the govern the nation.
“We want to give hope to Ghanaians because they deserve better than what we are witnessing”, she said
