Families are leaving due to Syria unrest

Dozens of families have left besieged eastern areas of the city of Aleppo along a humanitarian corridor, Syrian state media says.
The civilians boarded buses and were taken to temporary shelters, state news agency Sana said.
Some rebels had also surrendered to government forces, the report said.

Cockroach was found in customer's food in China

A customer who ordered fried noodles from a restaurant in Changsha, Hunan province, China on July 25th, forced the restaurant's owner to eat a cockroach he said he found in his food.
After the customer found the supposed cockroach, he told the restaurant owner to either eat the cockroach or pay him 5,000 yuan (£569)

Ken Barrie, the voice of children's TV favourite Postman Pat, has died at the age of 83.
Barrie, who was born Leslie Hulme, provided the voice for Pat and many of the other characters in the animated series.

Aftermath of Coup Attempt

Large people have gathered in the Capital cities after calls by Turkish authorities to defend democracy after the failed military coup.

Less than 24 hours earlier thousands turned out to help rebuff the plot.

President Erdogan wants the extradition of US-based cleric Fethullah Gulen over the plot. But Mr Gulen rejects any suggestion of links to what happened.

Nearly 3,000 soldiers have been detained and some 2,700 judges sacked as the government re-asserts power.

Generals are reported to be among those detained.

Mercer, the global human resources consulting firm, has released its 18th annual Quality of Living Survey, listing 2016 city rankings of best places to live in around the globe.

Herman Chinery-Hesse was born in Ireland and an alma mater of Texas State University, knowing his roots, he decided to come back home to help in our technology. His story is one of the most inspiring ones so far. When he first stepped into the country, he had no job and back then many companies did not really see the need for a software but he sat in his room and created softwares for companies. He is the founder of SOFTribe and sometimes referred to as the Bill Gates of Ghana. He made the list of 15 STEM innovators and is widely known in the world of computers.

Dr. Thomas Mensah is a Ghanaian-born chemical engineer and inventor. His works are in fields relating to the developments in Fiber Optics and Nanotechnology. He was awarded 7 USA and worldwide patents in Fiber Optics within a period of six years. His one of his popular books, “The Right Stuff Comes In Black, Too” is a widely acclaimed book loved by many people.

UK to send 50 additional troops to Afghanistan

The UK is to send up to 50 additional military personnel to Afghanistan to train and advise security forces there.
